An elite badminton player required to perform at their limits of speed, agility, flexibility, strength and endurance. On top of all of this, he must also maintain a high level of concentration in order to meet the tactical / mental demands of dealing with their opponents.
Although every rally length is only average of 15 seconds to 45 seconds, but is at very high intensity. Players must also prepare for long match that can last as long as one hour. So, badminton is an extremely demanding sport, is a combination of speed, strength, power and endurance.
During a badminton competition, an elite player needs to move their body quickly around the court and execute the stroke for the shots. They are exercising almost every muscle in their body that he/she may not always aware of till the point of exhaustion and even fatigue.
